2001 Award of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Culture

The Puerto Rico Manufacturer's Association and PROCOMP, a private organization that stimulates competitiveness and excellence among organizations, awarded the Resource Center for Science and Engineering the Award of Excellence in the Category of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Culture. This award recognizes the organizational culture of the Resource Center, which encourages initiative, creativity, flexibility, and most importantly, the capacity to see change as an opportunity. This is the first time that this award goes to an institution of higher education. The award ceremony took place on February 5, 2002, at the Windham Hotel in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico.

PROCOMP is a non-profit corporation dedicated to promote high level of competitiveness in the Puerto Rican society, both in the private and the public sector.
